I hope all families enjoyed a restful and enjoyable holiday break and are feeling refreshed for the start of Term 4. This term is always one of the busiest and most exciting times of the year, filled with learning, celebrations, and opportunities to showcase our students’ growth and achievements.
We are already off to a fantastic start. Last week, we were delighted to welcome well-known Australian author Aleesah Darlison, who inspired students from Prep to Year 6 through engaging storytelling sessions and creative writing workshops. Our Write a Book in a Day team also had the incredible opportunity to take part in a focused writer’s workshop with Aleesah, gaining valuable insight into the craft of storytelling and the writing process.
Also last week, our Years 3–6 Choir students participated in a Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra workshop with world-renowned choral conductor Simon Halsey, hosted at Exeter Primary School. This was an extraordinary experience for our students, who joined voices with others to learn new techniques, explore harmonies, and experience the joy of choral singing alongside such an inspiring conductor.
Term 4 will continue to be filled with many highlights, including end-of-year celebrations, transition programs, excursions, and community events. We look forward to sharing these moments with you over the coming weeks.
Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership as we continue to make Beaconsfield Primary School a place where every student is known, safe, well, and learning.

Uniform
As we begin Term 4, we’d like to remind students and families of our uniform expectations. Full school uniform is to be worn each day, including appropriate footwear – hoodies and other non-uniform items should not be worn to school.
Please note our colours are NAVY/GREY Shorts/Pants/Trackpants (no bike shorts), GOLD Polo Shirt, ROYAL BLUE Windcheater. A full list of uniform items is available to view through the Qkr! App or on the School Website.
If you require support getting correct uniform, please speak to your child’s class teacher in the first instance. A copy of our dress code is available on our website. Jewellery should be minimal—small stud or sleeper earrings only—and fingernails should be kept short for safety. Thank you for helping us maintain a neat and safe learning environment.
Nut Awareness
We have students in our school who have high level allergies to nuts which can trigger anaphylactic reactions, leading to the need for medication, ambulance, and hospitalisation. We ask parents, carers, and students to be mindful of this situation when bringing food to school and avoid products containing nuts.
Foods which should NOT be brought to school include:
Peanut butter
Nutella or hazelnut spread
Biscuits or cakes with nuts in them
Muesli bars with nuts
Chocolate containing nuts
Dried fruit and nut mixes
2026 Kindergarten Enrolments
Enrolments for 2026 Kindergarten are now open! If you have a child (or know of a child in our local area) who turns 4 before the 1 January 2026 (born in 2021), please contact our school office to collect an enrolment form.
Proof of your child’s birth, immunisation records, evidence of residential address and parent/carer identification will be required as part of the enrolment process.
You are welcome to join our Launching into Learning and/or Pre-Kinder Programs over the coming months to help further prepare your child for Kindergarten in the new year.
