Principal’s Report
Welcome back to Term 4! I hope everyone is feeling refreshed and ready for a busy term. We have lots of events/activities scheduled for the first part of the term. Coming up in the first few weeks we have Forestry Tasmania incursions and excursions related to student learning in HASS and Science, Swimming occurring in P-6 as part of PE lessons, Year 3-6 Swimming Carnival on the 30 October at George Town Pool and our major fundraiser for the year coordinated by the School Association the Colour Explosion Event on 31 October. We can’t wait for all these great things to happen!
We had some minor works completed at school during the holiday break. New carpet was laid in the upstairs classrooms in Year 5/6 and office spaces, removal of the water tank from outside the Prep classroom and new decking in its place, another section of artificial turf has been laid in the Kinder playground and aeration and fertilising of the school oval. Thank you to Mrs Katrina Hillier for coordinating these projects.
A reminder students are required to be in full school uniform everyday – this includes wearing school hats. If you are needing support with getting correct uniform items, please speak to your child’s class teacher in the first instance.
