Thank you to families who engaged in the Family Partnership Conversations during Week 9. These conversations are important to monitor student progress with their learning as well as their social and emotional wellbeing.
Sports Colours Day
Well done to our Year 6 Student Leaders for coordinating Sports Colours Day this week. It was wonderful to see students wearing their team colours with pride and taking part in the organised activities during recess and lunch. Students raised $217 for Cancer Council Tasmania.
School Hats
In Term 4, students will be required to wear hats every day to play. Children who forget their hats will need to find a shady place to spend recess and lunch. School hats are required once the UV levels rise to moderate as outlined in the school’s SunSmart Policy. Hats are available to purchase from the office or through the Qkr! App for $10.00.
Uniform
Thank you to families for ensuring that students are wearing their school uniform. We encourage all students to consistently wear full school uniform. There are many options for uniform items.
Please note our colours are NAVY/GREY Shorts/Pants/Trackpants, GOLD Polo Shirt, ROYAL BLUE Windcheater. A full list of uniform items is available to view through the Qkr! App or on the School Website. Hoodies and other non-school uniform items with logos are not permitted to be worn at school. Please contact the school if you are having difficulty purchasing uniform.
A copy of the School Uniform Policy is also available through the website or from the office.
Second-hand Uniform Donations
The school would appreciate any second-hand uniform items in good condition. In particular, navy trackpants/shorts in smaller sizes e.g. 4-8 to have as spares in our early years’ classes. If you can assist with this request, please drop the items into the school office, or pass on to your child’s class teacher.
2025 Class Placements
Staff are in the process of planning classes for 2025. Whilst we don’t take requests for students to be in classes or with particular teachers, if you have information which will assist in constructing classes for 2025, please forward it in writing to Shaun Sexton or Daisy Stephens by Friday 18 October. Considerations are given to creating balanced classes to meet students’ academic and social needs.
Holidays
Wishing families a well-deserved break for the upcoming holidays.
