Thank you to students who are consistently wearing school uniform and to families for supporting your child with this expectation. During the warmer weather students have been well dressed and meeting the expectations in-line with the uniform policy. As the weather cools down, it is important that students layer their uniform to keep warm. We have plenty of warm options, including rugby jumpers, polar fleece jackets, windcheaters, and soft shell jackets. Hoodies or non-uniform coloured items are not to be worn. Please speak to your child’s class teacher in the first instance if you are needing support with uniform.
TPSSA Athletics Carnival
Congratulations to selected 3-6 students who represented Beaconsfield Primary School at the Tamar Primary School Sports Association Athletics Carnival last week. Students were very competitive against other schools and many students received ribbons for their individual and team performances. Thank you to families who went along and supported our students.
ANZAC Day – Thursday 25 April
ANZAC Day will be in the holidays again this year. Students are invited to meet school staff at the ‘Bruen Waterwheel’ on the corner of West Street at 10.30am to begin the parade at 10.45am. All students marching on behalf of the school are required to wear their full school uniform. We will march from West Street to the Cenotaph on Weld Street. Students are invited to remain at the service beginning at 11.00am, seated on a tarpaulin with school staff. Families are welcome to collect their child from the service on conclusion of the formalities.
Student transport at the end of the day
Over recent weeks, there has been an increase in the number of phone calls the office is receiving notifying of a change in travel arrangements for students. This information then needs to be communicated with class teachers and supervising bus duty teachers, this causes disruption to learning as well as confusion at the end of the day. We are requesting that where possible, families communicate this information via a note to the class teacher in the morning. We appreciate your support with this matter.

Footwear for School
It is important that students are wearing footwear which is appropriate for school and suitable for the activities they are engaging in. It is recommended that students wear structured school shoes and/or running shoes daily. Students should wear their running shoes on days when they have PE or other sport-based activities.
Please see the images below for examples of appropriate footwear for school:
