Principal’s Report
Book Week Parade
One of the most anticipated events of the year has finally landed and didn’t disappoint. The school was filled with excitement on Tuesday as many students (and staff) dressed in their favourite book character costume to celebrate Book Week.
Many thanks to Mrs Tahlia Ross and Student Leaders for their organisation of this special event. The Book Parade down Weld St was well received, and it was a delight to visit local business who spent time reading a book to our classes. Students and families enjoyed a BBQ on return to conclude the event.
Thank you to the following business/organisations who supported our students:
- Beaconsfield Post Office
- West Tamar Alliance Pharmacy
- The Exchange Hotel
- Beaconsfield Jubilee Bakery
- Beaconsfield Neighbourhood House
- The Beaconsfield School Association
- Steve and Chester the Dog
- West Tamar Lions Club
Enrolments for 2024 Kindergarten are now open! If you have a child (or know of a child in our local area) who turns 4 before the 1 January 2024 (born in 2019), please contact our school office to collect an enrolment form.
Proof of your child’s birth, immunisation records, evidence of residential address and parent/carer identification will be required as part of the enrolment process.
You are welcome to join our Launching into Learning and/or Pre-Kinder Programs over the coming months to help further prepare your child for Kindergarten in the new year.
Exeter High visit to Year 5/6 Students
Last week, Year 5/6 students welcomed Mr Stefan Lendvay and Mrs Elle Fox from Exeter High School to share information about their school. Students were also greeted online by some former Beaconsfield students who shared their experience of high school. Our students will attend Exeter on 7 September for an Options Taster Day. Further information will be provided to students.
